I studied English and Psychology at the University of British Columbia, before obtaining a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario. While at Western, I managed the university’s Dispute Resolution Centre, where I conducted mediations, trained other students, and led free conflict resolution workshops in and around London, Ontario.
As a family lawyer, I prioritize empathy, transparency, and dialogue. I strive to empower my clients by providing the support, representation, and information they need to understand their options and carve out a stable path forward.
I can assist with various matters: cohabitation agreements, marriage agreements (also known as prenups), parenting issues and schedules, asset and debt division, spousal and/or child support, variation orders, enforcement of orders, and divorce.
In addition to litigation experience in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, I am an accredited Collaborative Family Practitioner. I am committed to pursuing cost-effective, peaceful, and collaborative strategies wherever possible. My own separation and divorce impacted me deeply and has contributed to the approach I take when serving and caring for clients.
Being the eldest of six kids raised in Richmond, I am a proud local. Before law, I wrote songs and recorded an EP with Cone McCaslin of Sum 41. I wrote and produced a short film, acted in a handful of commercials, and took still photography on several Hallmark movie sets. Performing and storytelling are little loves of mine. These days, when I’m not working, I’m reading, getting outside, or finding new excuses to use colour.
