Harkeerit Shoker is a solicitor practicing in the areas of real estate, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates. She has experience working on real estate development matters, residential conveyances, corporate transactions and structuring, and estate and incapacity planning. In doing this work, she drafts and reviews agreements and documents, advises clients across multiple areas of law, and researches complex matters.
Harkeerit previously worked at a full-service firm in Downtown, providing her with experience in several areas of law. Her various experiences have helped her hone the ability to assess client’s needs in a well-rounded fashion, as well as use her knowledge and attention to detail to provide clients with effective and client-centered legal solutions.
Harkeerit obtained her law degree from the Allard School of Law at UBC. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree from UBC and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She draws on her educational background of studying Sociocultural Anthropology to understand clients’ cultural experiences in a compassionate manner to help assess their unique goals and needs.
In her free time, Harkeerit likes to spend time with her family and friends, travel to various destinations around the world, and read fiction and non-fiction books. She also enjoys binge-watching TV shows and engaging in mindful practices, like yoga.
